Bereshis 7,2

Da baute Noach G-tt einen Altar und nahm von allem reinen Vieh
und von allem reinen Vogel und brachte Ganzopfer auf dem Altar.

Bereshis 8,2

DAS REIN IST – das einst für Israel rein sein wird; wir entnehmen daraus, dass Noach Torah gelernt hat (das heisst, er war mit den Vorschriften vertraut, die später in der Torah niedergelegt wurden) [Ber. Rab. 26,1]

JE SIEBEN – um davon Opfer darzubringen, wenn er die Arche wieder verliess «Da baute Noach G-tt einen Altar und nahm von allem reinen Vieh und von allem reinen Vogel und brachte Ganzopfer auf dem Altar.»

VON ALLEM REINEN VIEH – er sagte, der Heilige, gelobt sei Er, hat mir nur darum befohlen, von diesen je sieben hineinzubringen, um davon ein Opfer zu bringen. (Ber. Rab. 34,9)

but of the cattle that are not pure, take two, the male animal and his wife

So Noah built an altar to G-d and took of all the pure cattle
and of all the clean birds and brought burnt offerings on the altar.

THAT WHICH IS PURE – that will one day be pure for Israel; we see from this that Noah learned Torah (that is, he was familiar with the regulations that were later laid down in the Torah) [Ber. Rab. 26:1]
