Ihr sagt jeden Tag: «V’oneh l’Amo Yisreal b’eis shavam eilav – Er antwortet, Er antwortet seinem Volk Yisrael, wenn sie zu Ihm schreien.» Es heißt nicht nur, «Er eilt ihnen zu Hilfe, Er ist zur Stelle, um ihnen zu helfen.» Das steht da nicht. Es heißt v’oneh, Er ist bereit, ihnen zu antworten. Und wann? B’eis shavam eilav, zu der Zeit, wenn sie schreien.Shavam bedeutet ein großer Aufschrei. Wir sehen also, dass es nicht ausreicht, nur ein kleines Gebet zu murmeln. Es ist wichtig, laut nach HaShem zu schreien.

You say every day, «V’oneh l’Amo Yisreal b’eis shavam eilav — He replies, He answers his people Yisrael at the time that they cry out to Him. «It doesn’t say merely He hastens to the succor, He is at hand to help them. It doesn’t say that. It says v’oneh, He is ready to answer them. When? B’eis shavam eilav, at the time that they cry out. Shavam means a great outcry. so we see it’s not sufficient merely to mumble a little prayer. It’s important to make a big outcry to Hashem. —
