Aber die Art und Weise, wie HaShem einen Menschen prüft, besteht darin, ihn in Stress und Angst zu versetzen. Die Situation ist angespannt. Dann prüft HaShem den Menschen.
An anderen Stellen in der Torah steht, dass HaShem uns Menschen durch das Manna, die Parnassa [Einkommen] prüft. Manchmal drosselt HaShem deine Parnassa für ein paar Wochen. Es gibt keine Parnassa.
Jetzt beginnt Er, dich zu prüfen. Wie wirst du reagieren? Es gibt viele Möglichkeiten, wie HaShem den Menschen prüft. Keine davon ist angenehm.
Die göttliche Prüfung ist unangenehm
Alle gehen entweder mit Angst und angespannten Situationen einher. Das ist die Prüfung. Ein Tzaddik [Gerechter] zu sein, wenn alles wunderbar läuft, du reich bist, Geld hereinkommt, du verheiratet bist, Kinder hast und gesund bist. Alle verneigen sich vor dir. Du hast keine Feinde. In dieser Situation ist es sehr leicht, ein Tzaddik zu sein.
«Wir wollen sehen, ob du ein Tzaddik bist, wenn nichts für dich läuft. Wenn du krank bist, wenn du nicht verheiratet bist, wenn du kaum Parnassa hast, wenn es dir schwerfällt, deine Rechnungen zu bezahlen, wenn du Probleme mit deinen Kindern hast oder keine Kinder hast. Dann möchte Ich sehen, wie sehr du Mich liebst.»
Menschen, die HaShem trotz all ihrer Probleme dienen, könnten millionenfach höher stehen als jemand, dem alles gelingt. Denn wir kennen die Worte der Chazal [Weisen], und es steht auch in der Torah, dass diejenigen, die HaShem quält, ein Zeichen dafür sind, dass er sie am meisten liebt.

But the way of Hashem to test a person is to put him in a stress and fear. The situation is uptight. That’s when Hashem tests the person. In other places in the Torah it says that Hashem is testing us through the man, the manna, parnassah. Sometimes Hashem chokes you in a parnassah for a few weeks. There’s no parnassah.
Now he begins to test you. How are you going to react? There are many ways how Hashem tests the person. It’s none of them goes in a pleasant way.
The divine test is unpleasant
All of them goes either with fear and uptight situation. That’s the test. To be a tzaddik when everything works beautifully and you’re rich and money comes in and you’re married and you have children and you’re healthy.
Everyone bow down to you. You don’t have enemies. That’s very easy to be a tzaddik in this situation.
We want to see if you’re tzaddik when nothing is working for you. When you’re sick, when you’re not married, when you barely have parnassah, when it’s hard for you to pay the bills, you have problems with the children or you don’t have children. That’s when I want to see how much you love me.
People that serve Hashem out of all the problems their level could be a million times higher than someone or everything working for him. Because we know the words of Chazal and it’s also a pasuk in the Torah that the ones that Hashem torture it’s a sign that he loves them the most.
